SmarterFarming Going International
SmarterFarming started life as an Australian company, serving Australian clients.
However, over the last 12 months we have had a large amount of enquiry from German and other European visitors, who don't appear to have access to the Livestock RFID expertise that we have here in Australia.
They report exactly the problem that many others face. i.e. Large conglomerate companies trying to shoehorn their (the client's) operational livestock RFID requirements into their EXPENSIVE ($511 per cow!!!!!)'solution'.
Then they provide minimal training that allows them to impose huge ongoing support costs, by implying that livestock RFID technology is so 'complicated' that the farmer would only ever be able to comprehend the basics, and leave the rest to the big company. (at a cost of course!!)
We know that for most people, there is no 'one size fits all' solution, which is why SmarterFarming was formed.
To tailor the hardware and software requirements to the individual operational livestock RFID needs of the client, then provide comprehensive training in farm management software so that the on-going support costs are eliminated or minimised.
We also know that a tailored livestock RFID solution isn't complicated, it's EASY to implement, and it's EASY to use.
We know that farmers who have a cow detect a company that is only trying to profit from them, rather than increase the farmers profits.
As a result of this increased enquiry from overseas, the SmarterFarming website is undergoing some major changes, one of them being that the site will soon be available in several languages (German, French, and Danish to start with) besides English to better serve our clients.
We will also be changing direction, and providing more content and training directly via the web, to reduce the costs of providing our services to our European clients.
